Sonata Software shares in focus on winning multi-million dollar modernization deal in Australia

On Wednesday, Sonata Software announced that it had signed a multi-million dollar modernization agreement with a leading global provider of access solutions. According to the statement, the project’s goal is to standardize and unify the client’s business procedures in 13 APAC nations, facilitating smooth operations and real-time communication with partners, suppliers, distributors, and customers.

According to the company, the agreement was secured in Q1FY25 and was highlighted during an earnings call in July.

Sonata Software will update the client’s Dynamics AX 2012 R3 system to D365 Finance and Supply Chain Management as part of the transition. Data migration from legacy systems, the implementation of a data platform with more than 260 Power BI reports, the optimization of advanced warehousing and planning procedures, and trial projects in Australia, New Zealand, and China are all part of the initiative. To speed up the data-to-decision process, an intelligence layer driven by Microsoft Fabric will also be included.

鈥淥ur efforts will focus on automating end-to-end processes, harnessing Microsoft鈥檚 comprehensive聽technology聽stack to improve scalability and facilitate adoption for the client,鈥 Anthony Lange, chief revenue officer at Sonata Software, said. 鈥淭hrough our digital transformation efforts, we will standardise and optimise their trading and manufacturing processes, integrate financial planning and monitoring, and simplify customisation and integration by leveraging聽industry聽best practices.鈥

In order to meet the increasing need for generative AI and data solutions, Sonata Software recently strengthened its position in Australia by creating a new centre of excellence in partnership with the Victorian government.
